Here's more on Quantum Information Science
What are the degree requirements?
All of the courses needed to offer this degree have already developed and tested by IU faculty. 30 credit hours total are required for MS degree.
PHYS-P 555: Quantum Computation and Information (3 credits) is the only required course. You must also complete a capstone research project or thesis (6 credits).
The remaining MS degree program coursework is organized along at least three different tracks: Quantum Computation and Simulation, Quantum Materials and Sensing, and Quantum Applications and Operations Research, but we foresee other tracks developing based on interest.
You can complete this MS degree program in as little as one year (two semesters full-time plus one summer session), with more time allowed if you want to complete an MS thesis.
